To take advantage of a grant of up to $288,000 from Hydro-Québec, the City of Longueuil will install 12 new electric vehicle charging stations in its downtown and densely populated neighborhoods.

Following technical analyzes and the feasibility study by Bornes Québec, the municipal parking lots of Immaculée-Conception Park, Michel-Chartrand Park, the Georges-Dor Library and the René-Veillet Community Center were selected for addition of two double charging stations per site.

In addition, two double charging stations per site will be installed during renovation projects in the municipal parking lots of Joseph-William-Gendron Park and the Lajeunesse Center.

The proposed locations were presented during the Mobility Commission session
sustainable meeting held on September 11, 2023.

For technical reasons, the Greenfield Park borough office site was removed from the list and replaced by Immaculée-Conception Park.

At the end of the work and the study of the cost statement and supporting documents, Hydro-Québec
will inform the City of the amount of the contribution to which it will be entitled. The purchase amount for the installation of the 12 double charging stations is estimated at nearly $600,000.
