Paname in garland mode is the jackpot for tourists who come looking for the magic of winter. Every year, from November to the beginning of January, the capital pulls out all the stops.
Where to go see the 2024-2025 Christmas lights and decorations in Paris?
The Champs-Élysées ignite under the flash of a celebrity who gives the starting signal (this time, Tony Estanguet, three gold medals in three different Olympic Games and president of Paris 2024)while Avenue Montaigne, Place Vendôme, Montmartre, Bercy Village and other legendary spots light up to attract crowds with backpacks ready to take selfies. We stroll in front of the magical paintings of the department stores (Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, Les Galeries Lafayette, Printemps Haussmann, la Samaritaine and BHV Marais), we drink spicy nectar (in moderation) through the mazes of the markets of Christmas, and we take full advantage of this neon festival which boosts the atmosphere (and the economy). In short, an urban Disneyland where magic happens almost everywhere – even for the most grumpy people. To prevent you from going around in circles like a disco ball, we have put together a list of spots (and the dates that go with them).
