At the dawn of a blitzkrieg for early legislative electionsscheduled for June 30 and July 7 after the dissolution of the National Assembly announced this Sunday, June 9 by the President of the Republic after the results of the European elections, a question arises in the Alpine offices: will the outgoing deputies try to run for another mandate, and against whom?

During the previous legislature, the first constituency was held by the National Rally and the second by France Insoumise. Since this Sunday, June 16 at 6 p.m., the official candidacies have been finalized: thirteen candidates have officially been nominated and will battle to win the department’s two constituencies.

First constituency

Christian Girardthe outgoing deputy (National Rally) of the 1st constituency will try to run for a new mandate.

Felix White (New Popular Front) was officially invested this Sunday by the left alliance. His mission will be to take over a constituency historically marked on the left, but where Christian Girard (RN) ended up winning against Delphine Bagarry (Nupes) in 2022.

Sandra Raponi (Les Républicains) had announced since Friday June 14 “to take responsibility. La Dignoise will be accompanied by Pierre Catillon as substitute.

Benoit Gauvan (Together) was until now expected to launch into the battle under the label of the presidential majority. The entourage of the mayor of Oraison recently argued that he had no other choice but to go there.

Patricia Campart (Reconquest), will for its part carry the colors of the party founded by Éric Zemmour, in turmoil since the exclusion of Marion Maréchal and three other European elected officials.

Nadia Lakhlef (UDI) will be the candidate of the Union of Democrats and Independents, founded by Jean-Louis Borloo in 2012.

Annabel Ros (Workers’ Struggle) is running under the banner of the far-left party.

The 1st constituency brings together the cantons of Allos-Colmars, Annot, Barrême, Castellane, Digne Est, Digne Ouest, Entrevaux, La Javie, Les Mées, Mézel, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Peyruis, Riez, Saint-André-les- Alps, Valensole and Volonne.

Second constituency

Leo Walter, the outgoing deputy (New Popular Front) of the constituency is also a candidate for re-election. The latter reacted to the political situation in the country on June 12 on our antenna and shared his concern about the current position of the far right.

Dominique Blanc (Together), presents itself this year with the colors of the presidential majority. In 2022 during the last election, he tried to win as a diverse right-wing candidate.

Sophie Vaginay-Ricourt (National Rally), the mayor of Barcelonnette will indeed defend the colors of Marine Le Pen’s party, despite her initial denials.

Myriam Cadenel (Reconquest) is back and will try just like in 2022 to conquer the constituency for Eric Zemmour’s party.

Henri Cyvoct (Workers’ Struggle) is running under the banner of the far-left party.

Loan Reynaud (Diverse right) presents itself with the label various right, without the nomination of the Republicans, absent from the constituency.

There 2nd district brings together the cantons of Banon, Barcelonnette, Forcalquier, Le Lauzet-Ubaye, Manosque Nord, Manosque Sud-Est, Manosque Sud-Ouest, La Motte, Noyers-sur-Jabron, Reillanne, Saint-Etienne, Seyne, Sisteron and Turriers.

The legislative elections will take place on June 30 and July 7 in France. The 577 deputies of the National Assembly are expected to be renewed following the dissolution of the lower house of Parliament, a first since 1997.
