The 6eLavender Festival centrally organized town of Martelwill have as guest plant: the saffron. It will be held from Thursday June 27 to Sunday June 30, in the Raymondie room, here is the detailed program.


From June 27 to 30: an exhibition entitled “ Lavender in the north of the Lot from yesterday to today » and an exhibition dedicated to “History and culture of saffron” by safranério. Open from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. & from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free access and hat.

Friday June 28: Raymondie room at 8:45 p.m., conference by Christian Agrech, safranier trainer and president of safranério.

Saturday and Sunday: distillation by Jean François Fraysse in the Raymondie courtyard.

Saturday June 29

Saturday June 29, lavender producers from the north of the Lot will be present all day in the village hall and the Raymondie courtyard, with the program of picking, documentary screenings, demonstrations, workshops, a Spanish inn meal and even an introduction to traditional dances…

– 10:30 a.m.: picking lavandin (departure from Info Point)

– 2:30 p.m.: delivery of decorated wheelbarrows for the competition. All day long, presence of Sideways for documentary screenings in Benoît’s caravan. Free access and hat.

Under the hall: demonstrations and know-how workshops. Free access and hat.

– from 2:30 p.m., demonstration of a preparation, based on lavender by the pastry section of the Souillac Hotel High School,

– from 3 p.m. wool felting demonstration, by Fanny Lepage (Merilony workshop) – bobbin making workshop (free access) – clay workshop with Chloé Bastit de Gignac (free access) – Basketry workshop: with Hélène Lersteau (duration 1 hour ), from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Registration 06 75 55 74 33.

– 8 p.m.: Spanish inn meal. We bring and share (think about your cutlery and plates)

Under the hall: 9 p.m. introduction to traditional dances – 10 p.m. trad ball with Mickaël Vidal. Refreshment bar on site.

Sunday June 30

Sunday June 30, once again a superb program, with a Farmers’ Market, a botanical walk, a decoration workshop, a baking competition, screening of a film…

– from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: under the hall and around the Nature Market with producers of lavender, aromatic and medicinal plants, artisans,

– 10 a.m.: botanical walk with Wawa Boyer-farmer and ethnobotanist (duration 1h30 – free access and hat, departure from the Info Point),

– 11 a.m.: floral decoration workshop with Virginie from “Fleurs de sens”, Raymondie room (materials provided, registration 0675557433). Pastry competition including lavender, open to amateurs. Desserts drop off at 2:30 p.m. in the Raymondie room.

– 4 p.m.: results of the baking competition,

– 4:30 p.m.: results of the decorated wheelbarrow competition, raffle draw,

– 5:30 p.m.: Raymondie room, screening of the film directed by Lisa Marchou: “Lavandes du Quercy, the field of possibilities”,

– 6:30 p.m.: closing aperitif with an artistic performance by Lyse “The fairies live under the walnut trees”.
