Vitry-sur-Seine: she harasses her ex’s partner and hits her one-month-old baby to the point of head trauma

You can’t imagine worse pain for a parent. Thursday June 13, Lucie* was attacked by her partner’s ex-partner, and it was her child, barely a month old, who paid the price. Since being in a relationship with him, Lucie has complained of harassment from her ex-partner, Andrea*. “She had already threatened to kill the infant. She was then placed in police custody for harassment, but the complaint was dismissed,” the Créteil prosecutor’s office told Le Parisien.

Last Thursday, while Lucie went to the restaurant with her baby, her 6-year-old daughter from a previous union and her partner, she noticed that the ex-partner tried to follow her and was parked in front of the restaurant. A first altercation ensues. Then, leaving the restaurant, Andrea threw herself at her and hit her violently before punching the infant in the head. However, some witnesses contradict the woman’s version.

The mother and child were then transferred to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital, where doctors examined the infant and diagnosed head trauma. Two days later, Lucie went to the police station to file a complaint. In the space of less than an hour, the ex-partner was arrested at her home and placed in police custody. The Créteil public prosecutor’s office referred the matter to the Vitry-sur-Seine police station for violence (without total incapacity for work), harassment and attempted intentional homicide of a minor under 15 years old.
