A “Maghreb Fund” to support the internationalization of French companies in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia

The French Embassy in Morocco announced the launch of the Maghreb Fund which aims to accelerate the growth of French companies and support their development in the Maghreb (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia). Operated by Bpifrance, this system will deploy various investment, financing, guarantee and support tools until 2027, to the tune of 100 million euros.

This system was officially launched on June 12, 2024 by French President Emmanuel Macron as part of the first edition of the Ancrages Forum, dedicated to entrepreneurship and creation between the territories of France and the African continent. Thus, the public investment bank Bpifrance will help finance the internationalization of French companies towards the Maghreb through this fund.

Called the “Maghreb Fund”, this will deploy different investment, financing, guarantee and support solutions of up to 100 million euros between 2024 and 2027, particularly in the industrial sectors, energy, agriculture and pharmacy, in collaboration with Maghreb partners.

The Maghreb Fund offers an integrated 360° journey to support the projects of French startups, SMEs and ETIs including a wide range of financing solutions and guarantees from the Bpifrance export continuum, and finally support for investment in within the framework of French business development projects in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria through subsidiaries or joint ventures.
