The Tournai criminal court sentenced a former SNCB security agent to one year in prison, suspended. The 40-year-old man, who lives in Picardy Wallonia, was attracted by the lure of easy money. He worked in the SNCB buildings in Saint-Gilles. Responsible for surveillance, he could not resist temptation when he observed that rooms and cupboards were open and that valuable objects were there.
Between the beginning of 2018 and the beginning of 2020, he had stolen railway stamps, model trains and medals on several occasions. He resold them on the Internet while ignoring their real value.
