An inanimate body was found around noon this Saturday, along the river, in the Bic sector in Rimouski.
Following a request from the Sûreté du Québec, firefighters intervened to assist them in recovering the body.
A forensic identification technician and an investigator went to the site to conduct an investigation. A security perimeter was established on site during their intervention.
There S.Q. indicates that the identification of the body must be made to the satisfaction of the coroner before revealing further details of its identity.
