In Mallemort, the last physiotherapist office has closed its doors

For those who knew Benjamin Rosendo’s physiotherapist office, located on rue Fernand-Pauriol, then the more spacious one on avenue de Craponne, it is necessarily sad news to learn of its definitive closure since this Friday, June 21 . Because, after the retirement of Agnès Berbis-Inguimbert, a few months ago, there is simply no longer a physiotherapist in the town.

The multidisciplinary health center project, for which a public meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, did provide a block dedicated to this profession in its initial design, but Mallemort patients will not be able to wait for its delivery, scheduled for 2026.

An urgent need

On the side of the Val-Durance Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS), the need for physiotherapy and its urgent nature are identified: “We are very committed to this issue and are doing everything we can to offer, as soon as possible, a new physiotherapy care offer in Mallemort. The CPTS is engaged in an active search for new possibilities. We remain hopeful that we will be able to very quickly announce the continuity of care in the municipality.“, reacted Frédéric Baratçabal, its coordinator.

For the time being, the current practice of Benjamin Rosendo, who now practices in Pélissanne, will be replaced, after some work, by the dentist couple Marc and Emilie Chevret who have already been practicing on Avenue de Craponne for many years.
