Trouble again in the majority in Bezons (Val-d'Oise).
Nadia Aouchiche was elected in 2014 to the team of Dominique Lesparre (Pcf).
The elected official (La France insoumise) recalled, speaking to Nessrine Menhaouara, mayor (Ps) of Bezons, that she had agreed to join the majority team
“despite your choices of alliance between the two towers”.
An allusion to the alliance formed by Nessine Menhaoura with the list stamped La République en Marche… whose elected officials have since left the majority.
“Privatization/outsourcing of part of our city’s public service dedicated to cleanliness”.
Nadia Aouchiche thus expressed her disagreement with the market for “privatization/outsourcing of part of our city's public service dedicated to cleanliness”.
In the crosshairs, the increase of more than 23% in property tax
Another divergence, the increase, decided last spring by the majority, of more than 23% in the property tax, which Nadia Aouchiche did not vote for.
“The process that you have initiated, despite my numerous warnings, will irremediably transform the functioning of our city into the replica of a company administered by managers, with no real backbone on the left. Our disagreements are numerous and that is why I decided to come out of the majority in clarity”, hoping that his words “sound like a call for collective reflection”.
The shadow of the 2026 municipal elections
“You are slamming the door at a time when we have announcements of a government of the hardest, most liberal right, with budgetary choices that will be imposed on us and will be very violent, very difficult. I find the timing very bad. Your decision is akin to an escape from your responsibilities and a political approach,” reacted Nessrine Menhaouara.
“I find the timing very bad”
While Nadia Aouchiche underlined that the Bezonnais called for “more solidarity and social justice, as evidenced by the scores obtained by Avenir en commune and France insoumise in the last elections, 41% in the European elections, 55% in the first round legislative elections”,
Nessrine Menhaouara insisted on
“remember that the scores of the New Popular Front are not Lfi alone but all the left-wing partners, of which we are part within this majority, but also in the opposition. You tend to forget it too quickly. With my friends from the majority, socialist, environmentalist, communist, progressive and members of civil society, we will remain in charge until the end of this mandate.”
The shadow of the 2026 municipal elections has hung over the municipal council!
