Eight emblematic tourist sites of Ariège will be highlighted during the Mirabilia exhibition, which will be held from November 24 to 26 in .

An Ariège delegation made up of tourism professionals and tourism development support structures will be present at the 2024 edition of the Mirabilia workshop – a European network of Unesco sites – which will be held this year in Dijon from November 24 to 26. This event, initiated in 2012 by five Italian chambers of commerce, aims to promote UNESCO sites and the tourist offers of the territories.

On this occasion, several sites and establishments in the department will be highlighted: the city of Saint-Lizier, the castle of Montségur, the castle of Foix, the plateau of Beille, the great mountain bike crossing of Lake Montbel, the cave of Niaux, the church of Vals and the prehistoric park. “The first sector of economic development is agriculture, the second is tourism, so our presence at this show is very important in terms of economic benefits,” assures Michel Pichan, president of the Tourism Development Agency (ADT).

Great sites in Occitania, prehistory, thermal spas, ski resorts, outdoor activities, in short, the objective is simple, “to make the whole of Ariège shine”. “The CCI is happy to support this trip, it is an exceptional springboard because in this show, we reach tour operators from all over Europe, it is therefore very important that our professionals are part of the trip”, underlines finally Josiane Gouze-Fauré, president of the Ariège CCI.
