Employment: The Department is mobilizing for the employment of people with disabilities

The Department is taking concrete action for the employment of people with disabilities by organizing five “Employment crossroads” from November 18 to 22as part of the European Disability Employment Week (SEEPH 2024). These events will take place in five key towns in the region: , Doullens, , Péronne, and Mesnil-Saint-Nicaise. The objective is to encourage meetings between employers and job seekers with disabilities to encourage professional integration.

Dedicated spaces for recruiters and applicants

Each Carrefour will be structured into several spaces designed to meet the specific needs of participants:

  • Employers Area : a privileged place for direct meetings between recruiters and candidates, allowing individual interviews and first contacts. This space offers the opportunity to discuss the expectations of companies and the skills of candidates, promoting rapid and effective professional connections.
  • Partners Area : information stands run by the Department's partners, where participants will be able to obtain information on a variety of topics, including workers' rights, training opportunities, and available professional support and guidance. This space is designed to provide complete and personalized support to visitors.
  • Workshop Area : practical workshops dedicated to helping candidates better identify and promote their skills. These workshops also cover CV creation, cover letter writing and tips for interview success, strengthening participants' application tools.
  • Digital Animations Area : a digital services space offering help for creating online CVs and submitting applications via digital platforms, thus facilitating access to the job market and allowing candidates to familiarize themselves with digital procedures essential.

The Carrefours de l’emploi program

  • Amiens : Monday November 18, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Simone Veil departmental site, 49 boulevard de Châteaudun.
  • Mesnil-Saint-Nicaise : Tuesday November 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Multipurpose Room, Rue des écoles.
  • Peronne : Tuesday November 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Historial de la Grande Guerre. The morning will be dedicated to workshops to define the professional project and the afternoon to meetings with employers.
  • Abbeville : Thursday, November 21, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Local Mission, 82 rue Saint-Gilles.
  • Doullens : Friday November 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 2 avenue du maréchal Foch.

Companies mobilized for integration

Several companies and employer groups will be present at these events to meet and interact with participants. In Abbeville, structures such as Humando will be among the speakers. In Doullens, companies specializing in integration through economic activity, as well as temporary employment agencies such as Dynamic RH and Cap Intérim, will also be actively involved in these meetings. These recruiters are fully committed to providing professional opportunities for people with disabilities, with varied positions in many sectors, from home services to manufacturing and many other areas.

The events are freely accessible and open to any person with a disability wishing to explore offers or find out about the different possibilities for professional integration. Participants will be able to interact with recruiters and discover opportunities tailored to their profile. It is strongly recommended to have an up-to-date CV.
