The Crow remake with Bill Skarsgård is horrible according to this screenwriter

After Alex Proyas, the director of the original film, a screenwriter formerly linked to the project gave his opinion on The Crowand it’s apparently awful.

With the almost reassuring first trailer of The Crowwe said to ourselves that the remake of the long-awaited (and feared) cult film from the 90s would perhaps surprise us. If the presence of director Rupert Sanders (Ghost in the Shell, Snow White and the Hunter) was not the best news, the fact of having chosen the brilliant Bill Skarsgård to play the main role was very intriguing.

But unfortunately for the film (and for us), it seems that the result does not live up to expectations. While Alex Proyas said that the remake of The Crow did not please him and that Bill Skarsgård revealed that he would have preferred a different ending for the remake of The Crowa screenwriter who worked on the project gave his feedback on Rupert Sanders’ feature film…and his comments are far from positive.

We believed it, but apparently he is indeed dead

The Crow, as horrible as the fate of its hero?

The establishment of the remake of The Crow has been a real journey of the cross, and Cliff Dorfman knows that very well. The co-writer of the film Warrior with Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton was in fact linked to the project for a time, before the studio decided to change direction. Since then, he has been able to access the finished film and let’s be honest, he didn’t mince his words. Dorfman shared his reaction on social networks and then deleted it, but Movie Web had time to make a transcription:

“If someone saw a screening of The Crow that Lionsgate is releasing in August, that person might say ‘that’s terrible, it’s unwatchable, don’t waste your money’ or ‘I can’t to believe that it is as bad as the original”. It is. And don’t go see him. »

It’s Bill Skasse, rather angry…

This story really feels less and less good… If we are to believe the screenwriter, it would be better to leave The Crow to the crows, which should not reassure those who were already a little hesitant. At any rate, the film is still scheduled for August 21, 2024 to form our own opinion… if we decide not to follow Cliff Dorfman’s advice.
