An investigation for “refusal to comply with endangerment of others” was opened on Monday June 10, 2024, following a chase which took place from Bagneux to Châtillon between scooter driver and the police, news Paris learned from the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office.

A judgment on July 10, 2024

A man, aged 29, was arrested. He is suspected of being the driver of the Honda two-wheeler, uninsured and falsely plated. After trying to escape the police, the vehicle allegedly escaped and hit a tree.

Apart from refusing to comply, he is accused of getting back on the scooter after losing control and then hitting a police officercausing him injuries requiring total incapacity for work for 15 days. He also allegedly rebelled during his arrest.

Still according to information transmitted by the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office, the man is little known to the justice system. Referred on June 12, 2024 as part of an immediate appearance, he will be judged on July 10, 2024. In the meantime, he has been placed under a committal warrant.
