On the morning of Thursday, November 7, 2024, a ferry reported to the regional operational surveillance and rescue center (CROSS) Gris-Nez the presence of a migrant boat at the entrance to the Calais access channel (Pas-de -Calais).

The CROSS Gris-Nez then engages the rescue ship, Minck, to monitor the boat. Once the Minck arrived, the migrants on board reported that they were in difficulty. The crew then launches their intervention RIB to provide assistance to all the people on board the boat. The 60 people rescued by the Minck were then dropped off at the dock in Calais.

Once at the dock, the rescued people were taken care of by the land rescue services and the border police.
