An 11 km course is now officially open on the Nicolet Sud-Ouest River between the towns of Kingsey Falls and Danville, to the delight of paddlers.

The announcement was made at the foot of the dock of the Kingsey Falls Municipal Park while the city’s elected officials gathered around the sign announcing this initiative of the Canot Kayak Québec organization, to the great delight of the paddlers.

The Blue Route is a significant addition to the tourism and recreational development of the region, offering canoe and kayak enthusiasts a new destination to practice their passion in a natural and safe setting. The 15 km marked route between Kingsey Falls and Danville promises picturesque landscapes and an unforgettable paddling experience.

“We are delighted to integrate this valuable signage into the heart of our municipality. This is an additional opportunity for paddlers to discover our beautiful region. They will also be able to take the opportunity to explore other local attractions such as La Salle Kingsey, which is offering two plays this summer, Parc Marie-Victorin with its seventh garden “Les Mystérieuses carnivores”, as well as Miellerie King – distillery & meadery with its tastings and its offer of rides on electric fatbikes,” declared Christian Côté, the mayor of the city.

Each route is certified and equipped with signage in order to navigate in complete safety. Using interactive mapping and a range of online tools, each user is able to plan their outing on the water, according to their learning level.
