CréaWatt, France 2030 winner: The Loirétain company receives €3.5 million in state aid to relocate the assembly of light photovoltaic systems
The CréaWatt company is a winner of the France 2030 plan for its project to establish an assembly line for lightweight photovoltaic systems in Amilly. It is supported by the State to the tune of €3.5 million, including €2.1 million in subsidies provided by ADEME.Environment and Energy Management Agency.
The company CréaWatt, based in Amilly, markets extra-light photovoltaic solar panels, allowing installation on any type of frame (terrace roof, steel deck, corrugated sheet metal), without having to reinforce the existing structures of the building. To secure the panels on the roof, CréaWatt has developed an innovative system based on the principle of hook-and-loop strips.
To continue its development, the CréaWatt company plans to install a panel assembly unit on its Amilly site. This new line will enable the production of solar panels with a total power of around 500 megawatts each year. This project, which creates local jobs, which also contributes to the reindustrialization of the territory and the relocation of strategic activities, will make it possible to optimize the operational efficiency of the company and reduce the overall environmental impact of the panels.
