Three burglaries committed in a few days, a vast area cordoned off by the police and suspects still on the run: the situation is worrying in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

Since this weekend, the gendarmes of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence have been on high alert following a series of burglaries that occurred in the municipalities of Peyruis, Villeneuve and Revest-du-Bion. According to information collected by BFM, three individuals are behind these misdeeds.

The suspects, spotted aboard a falsely registered white Alfa Romeo, fled after committing their theft. To apprehend them, a large gendarmerie force was deployed throughout the department. Ground patrols were mobilized, supported by a helicopter to patrol the area.

Despite these intensive searches, the individuals have not yet been found. Faced with this situation, the department’s gendarmes are calling for vigilance among the population. They invite residents to immediately report any suspicious behavior around their homes or businesses.

Recommendations to residents:

  • In the event of a prolonged absence, call on a neighbor or family member to watch over your home.
  • Do not leave valuable items visible inside your home.
  • Make sure your doors and windows are securely closed, even when you are at home.
  • In the event of a suspicious presence, do not intervene and immediately dial 17.

The mobilization of law enforcement and the collaboration of citizens are essential to put an end to the actions of these burglars and ensure the safety of everyone in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
