1884 – 2024, the Halles de Nîmes celebrate 140 years !

Discover the detailed program of the festivities from November 7 to 10, 2024:

Thursday November 7

6 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Nocturne of the stalls. The halls are transformed into a place for friendly celebrations. The stalls offer platters and “snack” services (cold meats, cheeses, shellfish, caterers)

Friday November 8

In the morning – Product tasting on the stalls

Saturday November 9

9 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Book signing “The Great Adventure of Commerce”. Sas Halles-Coupole

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Amateur cooking competition (adults and children). “Imagine the birthday cake at the Halles de Nîmes”

3 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Children’s snack – Cooking competition between the pastry chefs of Les Halles around the Aigues-Mortes fougasse (tasting by children). Product tasting on the stalls throughout the day

Sunday November 10

At 9 p.m.:

  • Exposition photo tracing the evolution of Les Halles through the ages
  • Photobooth : a photographic device will be installed inside the Halles to immortalize this festive moment and make it unforgettable
  • Historical guided tour of the Halles de Nîmes : a guide will provide thematic visits around the history of the Halles, its architecture and its economic importance over the centuries
  • Musical entertainment (brass bands) around and inside the Halles
  • Distribution of goodies and candies
  • Product tasting on the stalls

11 a.m. – Inauguration ceremony (protocol speech and symbolic ribbon cutting) with presentation of medals to the historical figures of the Halles de Nîmes.
12 p.m. – Aperitif offered by the City of Nîmes

6 p.m. to 11 p.m. – Special birthday evening. Musical atmosphere and entertainment on rue Guizot with the Comptoir des Halles. Nîmes DJ Saudad takes the turntables.
