On Wednesday November 6, a 7-year-old girl was found dead in Coudes (Puy-de-Dôme) while her mother was discovered, unconscious, in the same house on rue Baptiste-Reverdy. Information confirmed by Dominique Puechmaille, public prosecutor of Clermont-Ferrand. “A priori it is a family tragedy, but for the moment, we have no information on the circumstances.”

The little girl's mother, separated from her partner, had moved to Coudes, about two weeks ago, with her little girl. The latter was not yet educated in the commune, but in La Sauvetat.

It was the mother's sister who raised the alarm this Wednesday, at the end of the day, worried about not having heard from her. The emergency services, firefighters and police, entering the house shortly before 7 p.m., made the macabre discovery. The little girl was in the bathroom, in the bathtub, unconscious. The mother was able to be rescued and transported to hospital.
Observations are ongoing and investigators are trying to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
