Friday November 8, Valencia hosts the European final of the world's largest academic cybersecurity competition. Organized by the INP – Esisar engineering school, this tournament has a major challenge in terms of prevention against cyberattacks. And encourages companies to recruit in this area.
At the end of October, the Free brand was the victim of a large-scale cyberattack, listed as the worst suffered by a French telecommunications operator. In total, these are approximately 19 millions of accounts whose data has been retrieved by a hacker (computer hacker, editor’s note) then put on sale on le darknet (part of the Internet network accessible by software that anonymizes user data, editor's note). To avoid this type of very worrying situation in terms of data protection, the Grenoble school INP – Esisar based in Valence is carrying out long-term work. For several years, it has been raising awareness among the general public about cybersecurity issues and encouraging the recruitment of “cyber defenders” within companies…
