Emergency services intervened on Wednesday November 6 around 5 p.m. to help the victims of a road accident in the Meuse. A light vehicle and a heavy goods vehicle are said to have collided head-on on the departmental road 964 between Dieue-sur-Meuse and Haudainville. Despite rapid intervention by the department's firefighters, a 73-year-old man died in the accident. He was extricated, but pronounced dead when the doctor arrived. The driver of the heavy goods vehicle was said to have escaped the accident unscathed.
An investigation was opened by the gendarmerie to determine the exact causes of the accident.
