Radon and IAQ monitoring in establishments receiving children: information and workshop
After two first events organized on this theme in the departments of Isère and Ardèche, a third technical day dedicated to the monitoring of indoor air quality (IAQ) in establishments receiving sensitive populations took place Tuesday 1is October 2024 at the ALC Hélitas social center in Aurillac. This event was mainly aimed at public or private owners and managers of establishments welcoming children or adolescents, but also at structures likely to support them (design offices, energy unions, etc.). Organized by the association Ville & Sustainable Development (VAD) in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Environment, Planning and Housing Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, the Regional Health Agency Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, the Departmental Directorate of Territoires du Cantal and the Construction Quality Agency, this technical day brought together around twenty participants around reflections and exchanges to improve IAQ and its monitoring within the targeted establishments, while meeting the requirements of the new regulation. The morning was devoted to theoretical contributions and feedback from the City of Aurillac on the implementation of IAQ monitoring. The day continued in the afternoon with workshops on the more concrete application of IAQ regulations. Radon dosimeters were made available on request by the Construction Quality Agency for the occasion, as well as brochures and information documents from various QAI stakeholders (Cerema, Public Health France, Regional Health Agency, Health Promotion , ATMO, etc.).
