At the Hôtel du Département, this Wednesday, November 6, 2024, an agreement was signed between the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (CAF) and the Department of the Territory of Belfort, which has responsibility for social action, within the framework of the Academy of Trades and autonomy (see box). This agreement aims to establish a territorial diagnosis of the needs of professionals in this sector regarding the care of their young children. “The diagnosis will make it possible to define precise needs, and also to anticipate the future when many childminders will retire,” completes Frédéric Léglise, director of Caf.
Questionnaires will be distributed by employers, through Caf and departmental services, in order to conduct a survey. This one will be carried out from the beginning of January until the end of April with families. Secondly, this agreement should make it possible to reflect on and experiment with childcare solutions with atypical hours, close to homes and not too expensive. And this, by working with the municipalities, which have jurisdiction over childcare.
