Some tips for saving
To avoid paying full price for your end-of-year vacation, you'll have to act quickly. Because the stronger the demand, the more the prices increase. Kayak reveals some tips for booking plane tickets without breaking the bank.
Avoid Saturday December 21, the most popular day for vacation departures, and therefore the most expensive. Whether you want to travel within the country or abroad.
“Opt instead for less busy dates such as Thursday, December 19 for domestic flights and Tuesday, December 17 for European flights,” recommends Eva Fouquet, senior vice-president of Kayak.
As for returns, Thursday December 26 would be the ideal date to return from abroad, with the assurance, again according to Kayak, of saving 18 to 28% on average on the price of your tickets.
Finally, if you feel like it and your wallet allows it, this year, first class tickets for all international destinations combined are currently 12% cheaper than those of last year for the same period.
For Kayak data, the survey is based on an analysis of searches made between June 14 and September 14, 2024 for travel dates between December 14, 2024 and January 6, 2025. All flight prices shown are weighted average prices for round-trip flights, departing from any region of France.
For Liligo data, the prices announced concern searches carried out between August 1 and November 5, 2024 for trips between December 21, 2024 and January 6, 2025 from France, for a round trip, for a person.
