Eh yes, there is a time for everything. To suffer while enjoying training (yes, it’s possible). Then to follow his destiny. Nils Lecomte-Lantier, Carla Gibier and Tom Romero-Nowak, after the awards ceremony, wanted to thank the volunteers of the Aube committee who work at each meeting to allow swimming to exist in the department. Because yes, even if the numbers have eroded in recent years, some good performances allow Aube to exist on the map of the Grand-Est, or even beyond.

More great performances from Jeanne Royer

This weekend, several swimmers were able to do well and qualify for the Regional Championships; juniors at the end of the month in Schiltigheim, juniors at the beginning of July in Mulhouse. Nine swimmers from Troyes Chapelle swimming (TCN) and ten young people from Troyes omnisports (TOS) will try to compete against the best swimmers in the Grand Est.

Among them, some small chances of qualifying for the French Championships. Particularly in the younger category, with the sparkling Jeanne Royer, still in sight this Sunday (5’55 on 404 swims, 35”86 on 50 pa and 2’59 on 200 pa) after a busy Saturday day (2’31 on 200 NL). She will bring her friend Rose Quesne in her luggage (32”54 in 50 NL, 1’13 in 100 NL) In their wake, Colas Simonnot shone in 50 breaststroke (35”35) and 100 NL (1’06) . Like Mathis Chenevotot (31’30 out of 50 NL). In the ranks of TCN, Léonnie Monny won her qualification in 50 backstroke (40”80) and joins the very regular Marianne Clausier-Govindin, already qualified in 50 backstroke and 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke.

Still chances of qualifying in Châlons

Among the juniors, there were no huge surprises this weekend at the Chartreux. The young people we were expecting responded. Only two girls will represent the colors of the department in Mulhouse. The sure bet Héloïse Pereira, again titled five times in the Departmentals (50 and 100 NL, 50 and 100 backstroke, 50 pap), who will swim in 50, 100 and 200 NL as well as in 50 backstroke and 50 pap. As well as Kalina Matten, who qualified for 50 NL (31”89).

The men’s delegation will be much larger with six swimmers for TCN: Augustin Lalande (28”76 out of 50 NL), Quentin Arnaud-Marcilly (28”58 out of 50 NL), Philly-Phil Nguyen (37”19 out of 50 breaststroke), Charly Sabot (29”35 over 50 NL), Valentin Chauveau (30”98 over 50 pap) and Driss Chebli (31”08 over 50 NL). “ We hope to qualify several swimmers at the Châlons meeting next weekendunderlines Coralie Nautrez, TCN coach. But overall, I’m happy with my swimmers’ times this weekend in the 50 pool.”

Three titles for Nils Lecomte-Lantier

On the TOS side, for his last bi-departmental championships, Nils Lecomte-Lantier had fun and won three titles (on 100NL, 100 backstroke and 200 pap). The Ukrainian Sacha Vlasov showed his potential in breaststroke, even if he trains much less than before (1’12”95 over 100 breaststroke). Hugo Amory got closer to the 30” barrier over 50 seconds (30”29). Injured in the ankle, Elwan Reinle, already qualified in breaststroke, abandoned his favorite swim for the 100 NL (59”96) and the 50 pap (29”66). Zadig Robin-Philippe continues his progress (31”35 out of 50 NL).

Finally, let’s not forget the performances of the young people from Espérance Nogent-Romilly swimming (ENRN). Junior 2 Milo Dautelle, specialist in short distances, achieved a very good time over 50 NL (28”38) this weekend. A year younger, Fabien Thomas also swam quickly in the 50 NL (31”33) and the 50 breaststroke (41”10). Emma Verdier (2010) did not come very far from qualifying for 50 NL.
