During the night of Monday to Tuesday, November 5, two children aged 4 years and 13 months were found dead in the bathtub at their home. A gesture that would have been committed by their mother.

A scene of terror. On the night of Monday to Tuesday, November 5, a father living in Sainte-Rose, Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, discovered his two children dead in their bathtub. According to Radio Caraibes International, the toddlers, aged 4 years and 13 months, were decapitated and their mother was nowhere to be found at the time of the horrific discovery.

The mother was finally arrested a few hours later, walking “naked” and “singing” in the street. Aged around forty, she made incoherent comments and was not able to explain the reasons for her actions, according to our colleagues.

Under investigation for “murder of minors aged 15 by ancestry”, she was placed in police custody, but the latter had to be lifted given “her psychiatric state”.

Hospitalized under duress

The mother was finally “hospitalized under duress in a psychiatric establishment”, indicates the public prosecutor, Caroline Talbo, to Agence -Presse. The investigation was entrusted to the Pointe-à-Pitre gendarmerie research brigade. In a state of shock, the father was taken care of by emergency services.
