After nine days spent in a coma, the young woman died on Monday, November 4. An investigation has been opened for manslaughter. The driver claims to have fallen into an ambush aimed at extorting money from him.

An 18-year-old girl died Monday, November 4 after a nine-day coma at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital in , BFM Paris Ile-de- learned from a judicial source confirming information from Le Parisien, BFM Paris Île-de-France learned from a legal source.

She was injured after jumping from a moving car in Épinay-sur-Seine before being taken to hospital. An investigation into the charge of manslaughter was entrusted to the Aulnay-sous- police station.

The circumstances of this death have yet to be determined with precision. According to our information, the young woman was found seriously injured on the public highway on October 27 after getting out of the vehicle in which she was with another young girl. Initially, it appeared that both had been victims of sexual assault by the driver of the vehicle.

An ambush?

In police custody, the driver of the vehicle reported another version of the facts. He indicated that he had fallen into an ambush aimed at extorting money from him, due to the presence of two individuals who came to attack him and damage his vehicle, specifies the judicial source.

The motorist then apparently became frightened and restarted his vehicle. That's when the girl came out, before crashing to the ground.

Our colleagues from Le Parisien indicate that this police custody took place for “intentional violence using a weapon by destination (his car), with total incapacity for work for more than eight days” and “sexual assault”. At the end of the procedure, the man was not prosecuted.

The two individuals observed near the vehicle and the young girl who remained on board at the time of the incident, all minors, were also arrested. After the investigation into the attempted extortion, a judicial investigation was opened. All were indicted and placed under judicial supervision.
