Qualivie recently left rue du Collège, in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, to settle at Portes de Pujols, on the site of the former beauty institute, which closed its doors a few weeks ago. A strategic location, a stone's throw from the intergenerational residence.
The association was founded seventeen years ago by Eulalie Kellen. After joining Lot-et-Garonne from Marne, she now manages 39 employees who work with 200 families in Greater Villeneuvois. Qualivie is made up of “qualified professionals [auxiliaires de vie, personnels ménagers…, NDLR] hired on permanent contracts,” specifies the manager.
The services offered are numerous and range from housework to getting up and going to bed, ironing, preparing meals, and helping with toileting. “We also carry out small gardening and DIY jobs, childcare, academic support and computer initiation,” adds Eulalie Kellen. Services which are not only aimed at people who benefit from the personalized autonomy allowance (APA) from the Departmental Council or that of the pension funds… but at everyone.
Qualivie, after the UNA
For all of these interventions, we can “benefit from a 50% tax credit,” says Eulalie Kellen. Before continuing: “We do not benefit from any subsidy from local authorities”, as is the case for many structures of this type.
Qualivie is therefore the second home help association to set up in Pujols after, more than thirty years ago, the UNA of President Lhonneur. A structure with which it could compete? “Not really, Qualivie had already established its intervention network from Villeneuve-sur-Lot, and ultimately only changed address,” notes a specialist in these issues. There is so much to do in this area that if there is competition, it should benefit families. »
