Valériane Ayayi succeeds as captain of the French women's basketball team from Sarah Michel Boury, who retired after the Paris Olympic Games, the French Basketball Federation announced this Tuesday, November 5.

The most experienced

The USK Prague winger is the most experienced player among the Olympic vice-champions (30 years old, 151 caps). A few months after their final of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games lost to the United States at the end of the suspense (66-67), the Bleues begin their international season Thursday, November 7 against Israel in Caen, as part of qualifying for the Euro -2025 (June 18 to 29 in Greece, Italy, Czech Republic and Germany).
