Volleyball. Second defeat for the French team in the League of Nations, beaten by Cuba

Falling the Netherlands in four sets (3-1) Friday June 7, the France team faced Cuba for its seventh Nations League match. The French, tense at times and making many errors, were unable to avoid defeat (18-25, 25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 10-15).

Andrea Giani had chosen to rotate so that his usual starters could breathe. And Cuba took advantage of it. More offensive at the start of the match, Marlon Yant’s teammates took the first round easily.

Despite a great reaction afterwards and a third set won with forceps thanks to an immense series of Quentin Jouffroy serving, France was unable to conclude the match and was dominated in the tie break.

The Blues will face Argentina this Sunday evening (8:30 p.m. French time) to conclude this Canadian tour before returning to Germany, then Iran, Japan and Brazil, starting on Wednesday June 19 in the Philippines for the third stage of the VNL.
