Who are we ?
Class autonomy (A2C) is an organization bringing together since 2016 revolutionaries from different localities who are involved on a daily and long-term basis in what we call the movement.
The movement is the structures that our class equips itself with to act, raise its head, defend itself, and question the functioning of society. These are unions, anti-racist, feminist, anti-fascist, anti-validist, environmentalist collectives, neighborhood assemblies, networks…
We recognize ourselves as Marxists in the sense that we believe that the class struggle is still relevant today, that the emancipation of workers will be the work of the workers themselves. This struggle can only be resolved by a revolution led by our class, therefore from below, from the base. We have no hope that the State will be on our side, nor that it will be neutral or flexible to our interests.
Revolution is a necessity if we do not want to fall into war, fascism, the successive and fatal crushing of entire sections of the population. Intellectuals only “think” about the revolution. However, theoretical training is lacking without humble and voluntary practice. Conversely, we believe that involvement within grassroots organizations is not sufficient to move towards the overthrow of the ruling class, capitalism and oppression. Hence the need to step back to formulate a strategy, based on experiences in the movement.
Therein lies the meaning of our intervention: we wish to contribute, on our scale, to building the autonomy of our class. Concerned about developing a revolutionary strategy in the movement and for the movement, we are convinced of the need to meet, to exchange on our experiences of struggles, our analyses, to self-train, to debate and polemicize …To articulate all our struggles, to articulate theory and practice. We want to strengthen self-confidence, by sharpening self-awareness. We want to give ourselves the means to win.
