The work of the main planning meeting of Exercise African Lion 25 will be held from November 18 to 22, 2024, at the level of the South Zone General Staff in Agadir, indicates a press release from the General Staff of Royal Armed Forces.
During this meeting, national and international planners will look into the arrangements for carrying out the various activities included in the program for the 21st edition of the African Lion exercise.
These activities concern training relating to operational areas, a planning exercise intended for staff executives, combined arms and joint maneuvers, civil-military actions as well as exercises to combat attacks by weapons of mass destruction. (Nuclear, Radiological, Biological and Chemical).
The multinational and multi-domain exercise African Lion 2025 will take place from May 12 to 23, 2025, in the regions of Agadir, Tan-Tan, Kenitra, Benguerir and Tiznit. The main objective of this major exercise is to strengthen intervention capabilities in a multinational context, develop interoperability and facilitate exchanges between the armed forces of the participating countries with the aim of promoting peace, security and stability in the region, concludes the press release.
