The former mayor of Hesdin (Pas-de-Calais), Stéphane Sieczkowski, was tried before the criminal court of Boulogne-sur-Mer, Thursday October 31, 2024, for forgery and use of forged documents. He appeared alongside his mother, Christiane Samier, a former municipal councilor suspected of illegal taking of interest, and Patrice Andelsmann, the former director of city services, also tried for forgery, reports The Voice of the North .
The former elected official was accused of being at the origin of a false deliberation by the municipal council dated April 7, 2016, granting the management of four housing units in the municipality to his mother's real estate agency. At the hearing, he acknowledged that the deliberation was never voted on by the elected officials, but affirmed that it had been put on the agenda without his being informed and that he “forgot to present it”quote our colleagues.
The defendants pass the responsibility on each other
For his part, the director of services at the time assured that he had been put “under pressure” to write the document. According to him, he would have reported “a problem” to the councilor, who would still have signed it, reports the local newspaper. The latter in turn criticized him for not having alerted the sub-prefecture of the error when he submitted the deliberations. As for Christiane Samier, she also denied the facts with which she was accused.
Three years in prison, two of which were suspended, were requested against Stéphane Sieczkowski, six months in prison for Patrice Andelsmann, and two years in prison for Christiane Samier. The deliberation is expected for December 5, note The Voice of the North.
