On October 19 and 20, the girls of Joyeuse Pétanque Arignacoise braved absences, including those of Karine Martinez and Michèle Dagostini, held back by other commitments, to go to Lavelanet. There were therefore six of them to compete in the final stages of the 2024 Ariège Club Cup, facing the Boule Verte de la Barguillère team. Despite the defeat a week earlier in the group stage against this same team, they approached this quarter-final with a spirit of revenge and exemplary team cohesion, managing to overcome this obstacle. On Sunday, despite the early hour and the cool air, they barely eliminated the Haute-Lèze team. Then in the afternoon in the final, they met the Montesquieu-Avantès club team. We had to wait for the triplets for Arignac to get rid of this young and talented team from Cochonnet-Avantésien, thus concluding this beautiful weekend by winning the 2024 Ariège Club Cup. Congratulations to this group of remarkable girls for this great feat.
