In November 2023, municipal police officers caught a dog wandering in the streets of Quetigny (Côte-d'Or). The animal was then impounded. Luckily, no one was injured.

A municipal decree prohibiting the straying of dogs, the owner of the cane corso was the subject of prosecution, reports The Public Good. On October 7, he appeared before the police court. The arrangements made at his home to prevent his dog from escaping proved unsuccessful.

“I can’t fight”

The defendant, who had already been fined for animal wandering a year and a half ago, admitted that he was overwhelmed. He decided not to go and collect his dog from the SPA: “I asked them to keep him, because if he runs away every four mornings, I can't fight. » The man, aged 38, was finally fined 150 euros.
