The decision has been made. By interministerial decree of October 14, 2024, published in the Official Journal on Friday November 1, 2024, the state of natural disaster has been recognized for the “floods and mudslides” phenomenon, which occurred on August 14, in the town of Colomiers, announced the Prefect of Haute-Garonne this Saturday, November 2.
A look back at the floods of August 14
As a reminder, on August 14, 2024, heavy rain caused major flooding in Colomiers and other municipalities. In a few hours, between 30 and 50 mm of water had accumulated. The firefighters had to carry out nearly 75 interventions in Haute-Garonne, including in Colomiers.
30 days deadline to report the claim
Please note that affected persons, who have not yet declared their claim, have “a period of 30 days from November 1, 2024” to submit their file to their insurer.
