What is the spirit of Doc Month?

We opened this weekend, in , with four films around the theme of voice. Making a film is an activist act, it gives a voice to those who need it. Until the end of the month, we will show rare films, often for free, in cinemas, but also media libraries, film clubs, MJC, in forty municipalities in the department. Each screening is accompanied by a meeting.

How did you choose these films?

Comptoir du doc chose thirteen. We defend a way of making cinema. These are films spotted at festivals in France and Europe, only documentaries, it is then a collective choice. Documentary remains a difficult art to produce and broadcast. Films do not have much exposure in the media, are not released in cinemas, except in big cities. And sometimes it's just for one or two sessions.
