Faced with the Grande Boucle, not all departments are equal. This is what emerges from the official data analyzed by our colleagues from Le Monde, who draw up a map with the number of passages of the Tour highlighted. We can say that the Tour de France lives up to its name, because the departments located towards the center of the country (and Corsica) are among the least visited by runners. In Eure-et-Loir, there are 15 passages of the Tour in 111 editions. The department was therefore crossed in nearly 13.5% of editions between 1903 and 2024.
