As part of the library open days, the Robert Doisneau library media library in Biars-sur-Cère was open to the public on Saturday June 1st afternoon, and organized activities for children.

First, after Elodie’s reading of the album “The Autumn Festival of the Mouse Family” by Iwamuro Kazuo, a workshop allowed the children, helped by parents and the center team, to create the little house of the mouse family with wood, cardboard, bark and cork assembled with glue and decorated with thread and beads.

In an adjacent room, a body awareness workshop led by dancers Stéphanie Morier and Céline Klein, as part of “Premières Pages” brought together around ten little ones, each accompanied by at least one parent. For an hour, there was astonishment in the eyes of the toddlers to discover their multiple possibilities of expressing themselves with the hands, the eyes, the body in simple games, with their mother and also their father (only one?) . It started calmly on the floor on mats, thinking about your breathing and moving your body gently, then, little by little, to a musical background, the two dancers led the group into more expressive and dynamic games, to ending in a dance for two, then collective and in the round… So much joy, laughter to share together, children and parents, before finding the two workshops gathered around a well-stocked table, for a very welcome snack break!
