The file had been validated by the Departmental Commercial Development Commission in avril 2023. The Danish discounter JYSK will open its doors in Vannes (Morbihan) from here to end of year 2024.
Construction in progress
The “Danish IKEA” specialized in furniture and decoration will move to rue Théophraste Renaudot, in a building currently under construction.
Already present in several French cities such as Le Mans, Bourges or Calais, the brand remains, for the moment, poorly established in Brittany with only two stores: Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets (Ille-et-Vilaine) and Plérin (Côtes-d’Armor).
Several positions to be filled before the store opens
The Danish chain of furniture and home decoration stores has more than 3,300 stores. The brand continues to grow in France with more than 70 stores already open.
A new one will soon open its doors in the city of the Veneti. According to a job offer published on the JYSK recruitment platform, the opening in Vannes is planned for the month of December 2024.
At the end of October 2024, several positions in CDI are to be filled. A store manager, a reserve salesperson, a department salesperson and a versatile salesperson are needed.
