Two young men were arrested, then convicted, for a series of burglaries in Mauriac, in Cantal. Bottles of alcohol and tools had been stolen.
The pétanque premises, on two occasions, the rugby club premises, an intrusion into the André-Thivet room and in the Sports Hall, an intrusion into a premises in the Pays de Mauriac. Bottles of alcohol, bottles of syrups, tools… Between October 6 and 28, a series of nine burglaries was noted by the gendarmes of the Mauriacoise brigade… who resolved all the facts in one only arrest.
Air gun and cannabis
Two men were checked on the night of October 27 to 28 by the Psig de Mauriac gendarmes. They let them go again, but noticed surprising behavior. And the next day, the gendarmes will find them… in a local apartment in the Pays de Mauriac, near the station, where they had broken in. One was carrying an air pistol and its ammunition. The second was in possession of a small quantity of cannabis resin.
Were the victims bitten by a fox?
The two men, aged 18 and 19, from Mauriac and Ydes, were taken into police custody, where they admitted the facts. They were then presented to the public prosecutor, and were sentenced as part of a preliminary admission of guilt (CRPC).
The oldest received a sentence of fifteen months in prison, eight of which must be carried out with an electronic bracelet and seven months suspended on probation. The second, aged 18 and residing in Mauriac, is sentenced to fifteen months of probation.
