For nearly 25 years, the “Departments on foot” have been organized in turn by the five FFRandonnée committees in the Pays de la Loire region. Like every 5 years, and to discover the natural and historical heritage through paths bordered by waterways, the Departmental Hiking Committee of Loire-Atlantique is organizing the new edition of the “Loire-Atlantique… on Foot » over 8 days of looped hikes and nearly 150 km: from June 6 to 13, 2024 on the theme “River, rivers and vineyards”, with the support of 14 federated local associations. The first and last circuits extend over a dozen km for half a day, the other six of 20 to 25 km over the day. The pace is 4 km/h. Animals are not allowed. Think about your water bottles, cups, and picnics! Two of the eight circuits are accessible to joëlettes, with the support of the Handi Cap Evasion association. ON THE PROGRAM – Nantes and municipalities of the metropolis: Thursday June 6, 2024: Nantes Petit Port and the Trois Rivières Erdre Cens Gesvres – 11.4 km Reception 11:30 a.m.: La Roseraie – Nantes – Access: Tram line 1 or lines C6 or 75 – Parking relay de la Beaujoirea Friday June 7, 2024: Between Erdre and Gesvres – 22.5 km Reception 8 a.m.: Salle Capellia – La Chapelle s/ Erdre (Access: Gare de la Chapelle (2.5 km) – Bus lines 86 or 116 Sunday June 9, 2024: The island of Nantes and its funny machines – 17 km Reception 7:45 a.m.: Palais des Sports de Beaulieu, rue Viviani, Nantes – Access to bus 4 or 5 or C3 or 54 (free this day) – Visit to the Machines the Island: €8 (30 people maximum) Monday June 10, 2024: Basse-Indre and the slopes of La Montagne – 22.6 km Reception 8 a.m.: Ferry on the north side – Access to Basse Indre train station 2 km away (recommended given the few car parks) Wednesday June 12, 2024: Le Pellerin – Between Loire and Bocage – 22 km – Reception 8 a.m.: Canal de la Martinière car park Carpooling recommended
