Inauguration of the night trail – Le Petit Journal

A walk on the trail was suggested Credits:

On May 25, the inauguration of the first discovery trail of nocturnal landscapes took place, developed by the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park in the town of Corn. This unique route to be explored after dark offers walkers an immersive experience and allows them to discover the remarkable landscapes of the Célé valley from a new angle. Around forty participants of all ages, including children, gathered that evening at 8:30 p.m. for the first official presentation of the trail. Dominique Légrésy, Mayor of Corn and Catherine Marlas, President of the Park, presented this innovative project that they have been carrying out since 2022 and demonstrated their commitment to reducing light pollution and preserving the black triangle of Quercy. A walk on the trail was then proposed by Clovis Gorisse and Dominique Rombaut, park project managers on landscape and biodiversity aspects. The guided tour offered to elected officials and residents gathered that evening made it possible to observe and analyze the developments in the Célé valley at dusk. This 4 kilometer route is now freely accessible, alone or in groups, departing from the Corn multipurpose hall. Designed to be a family trail, it can be done with children in 1h30 or 2h of walking. Collective walks may be offered by the Park and other local stakeholders.
