Success of the Lot Of Saveurs meal in Bégoux – Le Petit Journal

A meeting that has become unmissable over the years brought together gourmands and gourmets this Sunday in Bégoux, around a meal labeled Lot Of Saveurs. Organized by the Bégoux liaison committee (and many volunteers from the Mi Croche choir), it was associated with the traditional day of activities of the Les Cascaris association (in partnership with Cahors Juin Jardins). The festivities began at 10 a.m. with a visit to the shared garden, while volunteers were happily busy in the kitchen and setting up tables. A good-humoured ballet performed by 4 masterful hands, with Andréa Gandner and Marie-Alix. The meal began with a musical aperitif with the Rakatak group, after the usual speeches from the president of CLAB and representatives of the town hall, Ms. Faubert and Mr. Testa, senator M. Vayssouze-Faure also decided to share this moment of conviviality. The 100% Lotois meal, composed of leg of lamb and new potatoes, prepared by the caterer Cocottes & Faitout, delighted the guests. Rocamadour, strawberries in wafers, completed the farandole of delicacies, then, improvised songs, notably in Occitan, added the final touch of sharing and emotion to this day tinged with the color of joy. This meal, proposed by the CLAB (Bégoux Liaison Committee), was made with products from local players such as Locav’hors and the restaurant l’Escale. An eco-responsible meal, guests were invited to bring their own cutlery. A very beautiful day, which will certainly be remembered.
