New for this fifth edition, the wine fair will host the first edition of the cheese fair in Saint-Céré on August 17 and 18.

Thierry Frégeac, president of the wine and cheese association, explains: “This will be the fifth edition, an event that has become unmissable with a participation of exhibitors and visitors increasing each year.” Wine growers come from all over France to present their production. Most of them are harvesting wine growers who operate in a short circuit. “It’s important”, specifies Alain Bourdet, the vice-president of the association, “we want to continue to promote craftsmanship”. The team, which brings together around thirty volunteers, decided to launch, in association with the wine fair, the cheese fair. “It seemed obvious to us to associate them with our wine fair. Goat, sheep or cattle breeders will come and present their production alongside our famous “Rocamadour” and should be offered for tasting, cheeses from Savoie, the Pyrenees, Causses, Cantal including the equally famous “Salers”.

We are also considering opening a special pavilion for regional gourmet products in order to make this show a festival of taste on the Place de la République, in the shade of the plane trees, on Saturday August 17 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Sunday August 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
