In the four corners of the town, “The crazy story of percussion” will resonate, from Monday June 3 until Sunday June 30. The Luzech town hall is joining forces with the Esquisse association to offer a traveling exhibition around these exceptional instruments. This journey will take the visitor to discover a fabulous treasure of 500 percussion instruments from all over the world, which will reveal their secrets, reveal the richness of their sounds, their colors, their shapes, their mysteries and their history.

In a visual and sound presentation produced by Gérard Grimal, young and old will be inspired by several settings evoking each continent, showing and hearing these percussions that man collides, shakes or rubs, since the dawn of time and in all civilizations. This wonderful universe will be visible in different emblematic places of Luzech: the town hall, the Maison des consuls, the media library, but also the Aline-Drappier residence, the Logis de l’Impernal or the primary school and the college of l’Impernal .

The inauguration of this exhibition will take place Monday June 3 at 6 p.m. at the Maison des consuls, with the vibrant percussions of the Bateria de la difference (with the participation of the IME and the EAT de Boissor, from the Perce life center Snow).

At the town hall, Tuesday June 4 at 6 p.m., a conference hosted by Gérard Grimal will allow you to conquer instruments with unusual anecdotes, particular sounds and improbable shapes. “Crossed perspectives on percussion” is an unmissable event where the sounds of the drummer join the tour commented by the author of this surprising exhibition.

Thursday June 7, students from the Impernal college will participate in various collective artistic practice workshops for Javanese gamelan (Asian instruments).

The musical tale “L’arbre à palaver” will delight the youngest, Monday June 17 at 3 p.m. at the Collège de l’Impernal (with the participation of the IME of Boissor and Vire-sur-Lot).

And to conclude with a bang, Thursday June 20 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ehpad les Logis de l’Impernal, the musical show Rapsody “make music” will take the public on a final impactful journey!
