The man, who validated his ticket at the end of August, received the check this Thursday in Aix-en-Provence. With this sum, he plans to please his loved ones, go on vacation, but also play again tomorrow, Friday September 13.
“I’ve always been pretty lucky.” A player who played in the My Million draw on August 23 in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) won the sum of 1,000,000 euros, said the Française des Jeux (FDJ) in a press release.
The lucky winner, who validated his ticket at the Le Totem tobacconist, received the check this Thursday, September 12 in Aix-en-Provence.
“My blood boiled”
The man is a loyal player. “I’ve been playing Loto for about forty years and Euromillions for twenty years,” he explained to the FDJ. That day, he ticked numbers that corresponded to his trouser size or even the size of his shoes. But it was with the code EuroMillions-My Million that he won the sum of one million euros.
“When I realised my million-euro win, my blood boiled,” he recalls.
He quickly thinks about giving gifts to his loved ones and treating himself by imagining beautiful trips. But this regular bettor does not intend to stop there. Especially since tomorrow, Friday September 13, is a pivotal date for players. “I’ve always been pretty lucky, so why not win another jackpot on Friday the 13th,” he concludes.
Tomorrow, a minimum prize pool of 13 million euros will be put into play by the FDJ. That is thirteen times more than the Marseille winner.
