Donald Trump announced on Thursday, September 12, his refusal to participate in a new debate with his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, before the American presidential election on November 5.

“There will be no third debate”wrote on his platform, Truth Social, the Republican candidate, who is counting his June face-off with incumbent President Joe Biden in addition to his Tuesday confrontation with the vice president. “We have a duty to the voters to have a new debate”the latter claims, on the other hand, on X.

In their first face-to-face meeting, in which Kamala Harris took the lead, the two candidates clashed fiercely on the issues of the economy, abortion, immigration and guns.

“When a boxer loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I want another one.’ Polls clearly show that I won the debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the radical left Democratic candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a second debate.”the former president continued on Truth Social, accusing his rival and Joe Biden of having “destroyed” the United States by letting inflows “millions of criminals and mentally disturbed people”, and not having done what was necessary to curb inflation “who ruins [la] middle class ».
