The fifth edition of the festival at the Les Orne-Ithorynques garden will be held on Saturday June 8 and Sunday June 9. In the green setting of Fremisson, under the foliage, the White Wolf company will celebrate thirty years of creations, Marie Grudzinski and Jean-Claude Seguin thirty years of marriage and presence in Orne, the garden will reveal thirty years of meticulous care. So it’s a festive edition that’s coming up.

“I got to know Marie when she was playing the role of Cunégonde on stage in Candid of Voltaire, confides Jean-Claude Seguin. It was love at first sight for both the young woman and the actress. “Let’s cultivate our garden,” says Candide at the end of the tale. We put this lesson to good use in Orne where, thirty years ago, we created the garden which today hosts the festival. It was just a wasteland to begin with. »

Suspended due to the uncertainties of financing such an event, the festival in the garden resumes after a year’s break, supported by the company. To blow out these thirty candles of love, art, poetry.

The key to the fields

Nature will be at the heart of the program: “In the garden, the work of bees is fundamental. What could be more natural than to offer a real event around the life of these pillars of the earth. » The reading of texts by Maurice Maeterlinck and a Ukrainian author on gray bees will frame a debate.

Festival devotees will be delighted to find the succulent gardener, newcomers will discover him, to a text written by Jean-Claude Seguin.

Also on the menu, five sketches, proposed by actors who have worked on Commedia dell’arte, and on clowning. Maurice Hebert and Jean-Charles Le Noël will notably resume the show Funny birdxwhich they performed 300 times with the Marin company.

Between two shows, spectators will wander freely in the garden, discovering its nooks and crannies and its efflorescences.

Ten candles for one love will bring Marie Grudzinski and Jean-Claude Seguin onto the stage together to “a re-creation of a show commissioned by Jean-Claude Colo for the national stage”. This is the first time that Marie Grudzinski and Jean-Claude Seguin play a couple on stage. Fun, and full of winks, theater within the theater.
